Lecus is a Scandinavian café brand built by KERNEL | STUDIO as a portfolio piece. The site has online pre-ordering with Stripe and QR-code redemption, a dynamic menu with dietary filters, scroll animations, and a mobile-first design system written from scratch.

The challenge

Café owners care about their product more than their website. The result is a sea of identical WordPress sites that are slow and impossible to update. We wanted to show a better option at an independent-café price point.

The solution

I built Lecus from scratch on a modern stack focused on speed and simplicity. It looks premium, loads fast, and gives the owner tools that matter: online orders, reservations, and a menu they can edit without code.

What I built

Digital menu with categories, dietary filters, and card-flip product details

Online pre-ordering with Stripe payments and QR code redemption for staff

Reservation form with date, time, and guest selection

Today at Lecus: daily specials board updated in real time

Vegan and allergen filter with instant product filtering

Mobile-first design with video hero, scroll animations, and offline-friendly performance
